His talent in modern architecture has been showcased through a multitude of residential projects. His passion for architecture stems from his years of immersion in classical architecture, which he has reinterpreted in a contemporary context to redefine architectural authenticity. Simon de Burbure was born in Ghent in 1990 and is proficient in working in French, Dutch, and English, enabling him to collaborate on multilingual projects. For Simon, architecture transcends any specific style. He defines architecture as a fusion of permeability, lines, and views.

House, designed by Simon de Burbure Architects, is a minimalist villa located in Kortrijk, Belgium. It offers a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view of the entire valley, establishing a close and serene dialogue with the surrounding natural environment. Encircled by water bodies and trees, it further creates a tranquil and secure living atmosphere.</p>
<p>住宅通过挖掘部分山体并扩大自然池塘，使建筑与水域及起伏地形巧妙融合，形成与自然共生的亲密景致。地下层的室内游泳池与室外池塘水面齐平，视觉上连为一体，并采用声学天花板营造宁静冥想的氛围。池边放置着一对由赫里特·托马斯·里特费尔德设计的 Cassina Utrecht 椅子，采用户外织物软垫，简约又充满意境。</p><p>By excavating part of the hillside and expanding the natural pond, the residence cleverly integrates the building with the water and undulating terrain, forming an intimate landscape that coexists with nature. The indoor swimming pool on the underground level is level with the outdoor pond, visually connecting the two and employing an acoustic ceiling to create a serene and meditative atmosphere. A pair of Cassina Utrecht chairs designed by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld are placed by the pool, featuring outdoor fabric upholstery, presenting a simple yet poetic ambiance.</p>
